Our Reviews
Just took delivery of my new EV today at Ray Laethem Buick GMC. Bob Hunwick was my salesperson and he absolutely made the deal happen. Could not have acquired this vehicle without Bob really making the dealership work for me as a customer. The delivery experience was simply fantastic. I had so many questions and honestly also concerns about the EV, its technology, other features, and even simple things like the plugs and connectors. Bob, Lauren, Chloe, and Ray all made the delivery experience spectacular. Thank you to all of you!
I WILL NEVER EVER GO TO To Rae Laethum AGAIN!!! My wife and I were celebrating our 30 year wedding anniversary so I wanted to do something special for us and I set out to surprise her with a brand new vehicle so I called Ray Laethem dealership about a 2025 Buick Enclave on the phone and spoke to the salesman and he emailed me a quote over for the vehicle. I was very satisfied with the price, and proceeded to fill out the application. I told him upfront that I had excellent credit And he reassured me that my credit would only be ran only once through GM financial I said thanks cause I did not want my credit run all over the place multiple times with different banks so later that day I got an alert from the credit bureau that relate them had ran my credit Why did they run my credit so I called the salesman and he said that it was their policy to run the credit to make sure I could qualify to get the car I'm like you're not financing it. Why would you have my credit you told me GM oh, they're still gonna run it, so they only had a front wheel drive and stock so they had to do a dealer trade. It took them a few days to get it. GM financial didn't run my credit till four days later and I was instantly approved my son and I went to pick up the truck. On the table was a flyer talking about the Ray Latham advantage, which was a three year additional warranty that the dealership was offering for qualifying vehicles and business manager reassure me that this came with the vehicle. Oh, OK this is a good dealership. He also persuaded me to buy an additional maintenance program plan as well as gap insurance. I signed all of the papers we took possession of a vehicle, drove it home and a few nights later the Lord woke me up in the middle of the night and said to check that paperwork, something was not right so immediately I got up and looked at the paperwork and zeroed in on the selling price , he said go get the email that the salesman originally sent you. The prices were not the same. It was $1013 difference so that I called the dealership they kept me on hold for a long time so I drove up there wanted to speak to the business who wrote it up he looked over the paperwork and couldn't explain what the charges were. He said he didn't know what the additional $1013 was and why was the price difference Another guy came in and looked at the paperwork. He couldn't figure it out. Didn't know what it was so finally Will said he's the business manager and said that was $1013 for the Latham advantage plan that I bought I told him I don't know what you're talking about, you said they told me that this was complementary. He said it is complementary for the first 12 months and if you wanted it after that, there's an additional $1,013 I said where is the paperwork that says it is complementary where is the paperwork that I signed for and why is it just tacked onto the purchase price with no explanation and none of the paperwork he had no explanation for and said it was just an error that has never happened before and he's never seen it happen so after confirmed with several different guys in the building, he said that GM financial was going to credit my account when they update my credit report and I'm like that doesn't sound right so I just got off the phone with GM Financial they said that's not true. The dealership has to refund me the money for the warranties that I cancelled. I'm very disappointed in this dealership because the flyer is very misleading. It says 36 months it says nothing about it being complementary. It says nothing about an additional charge nobody ever explained it to me, nor did I sign paperwork for is my purchase prices inflated by $1,013. I will never go to this dealership again. I told Will that I was not satisfied this is NOT right and what is the procedure if I just wanted to turn his vehicle in and just walk away, he said that there was no cooling off nor could he rewrite the paperwork. I don't know how many peopl
Bob Hunwick and Lauren helped My wife and I Get out of our old lease early because we were out of miles. Seamless and smooth.
I had an appointment to purchase my leased vehicle. EJ Borden was on time and Very polite, knowledgeable, respectful of my time. Finance department was through explaining everything to me. I was very happy with the service I received.would purchase another car from dealership if need arose.
I’ve never been insulted regarding waisted time more than this dealership. Buick repair appointments are scheduled 2 weeks in advance. Communicating by phone is just as bad.
They broke a sparkplug off in my car then lied about it to my face. There are so many complaints about poor service and being ripped off by this place. I encourage a BOYCOTT RAY LEATHEM Campaign. Maybe if they lose business they might wise up and get quality mechanics. This is not rocket science.
Dropped my vehicle for service on Friday. Advisor sent me quote and said he didn't have part and I'd have to wait until Monday. Monday came and no call by 1030, I called them and they said car was ready (why didn't they call me?). Price for final job was $100+ higher than Friday's quote. They said they would look into it for me. 4 hours later, I had to call to find out what was going on. Got transferred to Voicemail several times and finally someone came on and told me that she spoke to manager about my issue and I'd have to wait until next day to find out why the difference in quote. (Again, why didn't they call me). Had my daughter drive me over there and got an audience with the service manager who was able to reconcile the difference, they did work that I didn't want done. Bill was discounted, thank you, but Ray Laethem, I shouldn't have to come over there to get stuff straightened out. And I should have been called back when my car was ready and shouldn't have had to wait 4 hours to get a call back regarding a change in cost.
I went purchase a lease I contacted salesman and he was supposed to call me Back and didn’t,I had to call several times to find out status. I sent my Chevy spark there after making a appointment in advance so the issues were mentioned the car got towed there for a broken hood cable to be replaced and the hood latch and a windshield… The service guy told my wife to get safelite because their suppler was out of that windshield as if none were ever to be made or gotten again???? So u go to a dealership that is same brand and after towing and appointment and pre discussion all u get is we can’t do the work we don’t want to do the work and we have no time frame on a windshield?????!!! so I call 7 times get voicemail and the phone answering person so I ask for service manager I was told he was busy all day not taking calls , so I stated if I have to call fox 2 or help me hank I will since I can’t be heard or serviced there . I got a call from service manager but it was still the same the dealership would not do the work because the tec didn’t want to do the work and they first said it had to be fixed in the body shop Because the bumper may have to come off etc, the body shop Person said go thru the grill by cutting it then we would have to buy a new grill because the tec couldn’t get to the hood latch , service had commented they didn’t wanna damage the radiator so as u can tell this is a mess . And the other time I had them program a new remote they didn’t program the remote start back so it’s not a good place to do business
SCHEDULED RECALL SERVICE APPOINTMENT FOR 7:15 AM. DROPPED THE CAR OFF EXACTLY ON TIME FOR A JOB THAT IS ESTIMATED TO TAKE 2 HOURS. AFTER NO PHONE CALL BY 2:15 PM DECIDED TO GO AND CHECK ON THE PROGRESS. NO SURPRISE, THEY HAD NOT EVEN TOUCHED THE CAR. GM- THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THIS. YOU NEED TO TAKE CONTROL AND RE-TRAIN YOUR DEALERS. THESE ISSUES REFLEX ON YOU.
Took 3 months to get an appointment and they didn't fix my leaking sunroof properly and charged me and I was told to come back again at my expense and they were out of loaners and again was rescheduled only to wait for another appointment which came 2 months later and in the meantime had to pay out of pocket to have remedied, so never again...
The very first time I took a vehicle in for service. The results were disastrous. Daid I would not return. That was years ago. To be fair they had just become a Chrysler dealer, so I chalked it up to not knowing the brand. Years passed I tried again with an oil change. Results the same disaster. Recently Needed to have a headlight changed on my wife's vehicle. They are less than a mile away, so I told the wife to just go to Laethem, surely they could handle that. Less than 30 days later bulb out again. So she takes it back to find out why. They claim is was caused by the socket, and charged her 72.66 saying that if it happens again they would have to replace the socket. Hold up. You removed the bulb, and replaced it with a new one. Seems to me if there was damage done it was done by your Tech. 50 some odd dollars the first time + the current charge is OUTRAGEOUS for a bulb change . We won't even mention the 217. they charged for a new key fobb. After thirty two years as a Chrysler employee, 15 as a repairman, Ray Laethem you are the reason I will never buy Chrysler again.
I took my vehicle in a for a 10:00 oil change appointment. After waiting for 1:45 minutes I asked how much longer it would take, I was told that my vehicle was next to be serviced due to an 11:00 meeting that the department had. No communication was ever provided to me until I asked for an update on the wait time. I was given the comment that "The wait time was unacceptable and that my vehicle should have been serviced sooner and that someone should have communicated with me sooner." I was offered some car wash vouchers for the inconvenience, which I declined. My vehicle was not completed until 12:30....which was a total of 2:30 minutes to complete an oil change. Needless to say I will not return there. Prior to me leaving my appointment I asked to speak to the manager and was told that he was out to lunch and didn't have a business card. I requested that he contacts me when he returns from lunch. Very poor service, communication, and very poor customer experience. The is is a prime example of lack of dealer customer experience and a key contributor as to why Stellantis struggles with being #1 in the automotive industry. As a FCA employee, it is very disheartening to see the lack of customer service committment that Ray Laethem dealership provided.
I've leased a vehicle from this dealership 3 years ago. It was such a great experience, I decided to come back when my lease ended. I'm buying today! JAMIE GRASKEWICZ (hope I spelled that right) once again shattered my expectations with his incredible level of customer service! He brought professionalism, experience, curiosity, and went way beyond to make this happen. He walked me through every step I needed to do, and even did some of them for me. Not only did he jump through the many hoops I unfortunately put before him, he met me with a great deal and positive attitude. I live In Leonard MI, I will continue to drive an hour away & past at least 20 dealerships to Ray Latham, as long as Jamie will be there to sell me cars! Bravo! I Love my new Enclave!!!
They let Porters do Mechanic’s work and then do not inspect what was done. I needed a brake job and was told the brakes were ok. One block, just one block after leaving and I could not stop.
Walked in with a 2017 Buick Envision and walked out with a 2020 Buick Envision. Love the car and the ease of buying it. Friendly and efficient staff and salesman.
